With the Divine grace of Almighty, a couple in a Hindu, Vaishnava Brahmin family gave birth to their second son. The tejus of their child was equal to the tejus of the sun. Hence they named him Ravi. Ravi was a disciplined and well-mannered child. While studying Ravi was intelligent in school work and as well as in Bhakthi. The Bhakthi and affection that Ravi had towards God were more than that of the affection, Ravi had towards his parents. This led Ravi to go into Dhyaan, wherein Ravi himself could not recognise what was happening to him.

The mother and caretaker of the Earth, Sriom Jagadhadri Devi, goes by many names and forms in virtually every culture around the world. She is the reason for life, the protector of the world, and she is also the Guru our our own Guru, Sriom Adisakthiyendra Swamigal. It was She who guided a young Ravi Narayanan to the spiritual direction, leading him to perform tapas and submit to a life of a sanyasi.
A young Science degree (Zoology) graduate from nearby Kancheepuram, Suresh Babu, was going through some difficult health issues in the early 1990s. He had crippling headaches, vomit everything he ate, and be virtually unable to function. His family, with meagre financial means, took him to many doctors and healers, hoping that he would somehow find relief.

SRIOM PRAVRUTHI was established by Sriom Adisakthiyendra Swamigal in Avalur, India. In the year 1991 the foundation stone was laid for Sriom Pancha Sakthi Peetam. In the year 1993 the Kumbhabhishekam ceremony (sanctification ceremony by pouring holy water) was performed by the holy hands of Swamiji, Sriom Adishakthyendra Swamigal
