Our roll in education

• Sriom Pravruthi Padasalai helps kids from marginalised and historically nomadic communities, who would otherwise be living on the streets, begging, or worse.
• "Our vision is to help underprivileged children in rural India access quality education”
• We provide personalised care for every student and assist with college or vocational training.
• We support abandoned kids by providing them with shelter, primary schooling, higher education, college and opportunities to succeed in life.
• We built a Library in our Ashram for students to inculcate the reading habit and enhance comprehension.

History  of  Our  Padasalai

Vidhya dhaanam is another major pillar of Sriom Pravruthi. Providing books and education to those who desire, something extremely close to our Swamiji's heart. Our Swamiji's family used to have a small book stall at a railway station. Through this bookstall Ravi and his brother made a living.

Being able to provide education to those who desire it is something that our Swamiji has supported throughout his life. Our Swamiji believed in letting children study what they want and not forcing them to undertake anything that was not of interest to them.

Through various donors and well wishers, our Swamiji and the Ashram have supported the education of several students from rural and tribal communities. These children have gone on to become self sufficient citizens. Books and education are a major pillar of our ashram and providing the right type of education is something that is truly close to our Swamiji's heart.

We have grown with the help of handful youngsters, individual donors and foundations committed to the cause of education.  We belive that the best way to bring up children with difficult pasts would be by giving them an environment that is less institutionalised and more family-based.

We realised early that students who belong to low-income families have limited opportunities in careers because of low-quality education and lack of financial resources. Sriom Pravruthi has two established programmes – “SRIOM Merit” that supports high-achieving students from economically challenged backgrounds into higher education until they graduate and find employment and ‘Graduate Finishing School’, an initiative to train economically disadvantaged graduates from rural areas in vocational skills.

All funds/donations raised by Sriom Adisakthi Ashram Trust save indian cows. The allocated to feed the cows, develop the infrastructure or kept towards Corpus Fund, depending on the need of the ground
